The Savoy Hotel in Miami has unveiled its new look after the completion of a multi-million refurbishment.

The Art Deco gem was given a new look by design firm Modplay Studio, with the hotel’s 31 suites, lobby and café bar revamped to create an ‘ultra-boutique’ standard of service.

Vintage lamps, velvet furnishings, banana-leaf wallpaper and eclectic art line the walls, while the new lobby boasts velvet sofas and rattan settees.

The new café bar and outdoor garden with in-house cigar roller are scheduled to open this spring.

The Savoy Hotel now also boasts a two-acre oceanfront poolscape with a mural of tropical flora by artist Michael Lin.

The hotel is owned by Allied Partners, which acquired the property in 2012, and was in need of a renovation following Hurricane Irma in September 2017.

“We are proud to have restored The Savoy to its original Art Deco splendor, now with personalized amenities and bespoke service at the ultra-boutique level,” said Eric Hadar, chairman and CEO of Allied Partners, in a press release. “With a focus on customized service, our charming South of Fifth location provides access to a thoughtful range of resort and local experiences.”
